On 3 November, Liu Yu, Vice President of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), and Chairman of China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd.?(NFC), met with?Wu Guoquan, Minister-Counsellor of?the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, in Hanoi.
Liu Yu provided a systematic overview of the global business layout and production operations of CNMC and NFC, with particular emphasis on NFC's business progress and future plans in the Vietnamese market. As a key platform for CNMC’s international operations, NFC places high importance on the Vietnamese market, and?will proactively seize local economic development opportunities, focusing on deepening?cooperation in the non-ferrous metals sector and aligning?its corporate development strategy closely with the high-quality development direction of China-Vietnam relations.
Minister-Counsellor Wu Guoquan affirmed?the business achievements of NFC?in Vietnam. He pointed out?that Vietnam's economy maintains rapid growth with continuously enhanced market vitality, and it is currently in a critical phase of opportunies for industrialisation and modernisation. As a key central enterprise in the non-ferrous metals sector, NFC?plays a significant?role in advancing the high-quality economic and trade cooperation?between China and Vietnam. He emphasised the hope that NFC?would seize this historic window of opportunity to deepen its engagement in the non-ferrous metals sector, aligning its corporate strategy with Vietnam's economic growth trajectory. Concurrently, he stressed the importance of prioritising compliance in business operations, strengthening comprehensive risk prevention and control throughout the entire process, ensuring steady project advancement, and better serving the broader interests of the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership.
During his stay in Vietnam, Liu Yu?conducted?in-depth and productive discussions and exchanges with relevant partners. Personnel from the Vietnam Representative Office?and Marketing Centre participated in the aforementioned activities.
